Department Educational Programs

The Computer Information Technology (CIT) Department offers a two comprehensive career-oriented courses and programs that not only address the demands of the surrounding business communities but meet students' needs as well. It is dedicated to promote higher standards of competence and integrity through the provision of relevant qualification. The CIT department currently has two programs with two tracks each. The AAS degree requires a minimum of 67 credits hours for Network program and Graphic Design program.

  1. Network Program

  • Network Specialist:

The Network Specialist program prepares students for a career for the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-sized routed and switched networks, and implement and verify connections to remote sites in a wide-area network (WAN).

  • Network Administrator:

The Network Administrator program prepares students for a career in secure system and network administration. The program develops the requisite expertise to plan, implement, manage, and secure servers and networks. With Network Administrator program, the students study the different levels of Windows operating system and managing the network servers through a series of books and references specially designed for this purpose. 

  1. Graphics Design Program

  • Desktop Publishing:

The aim of this program is to give students the skills and knowledge required to work in a desktop publishing environment. Students will be shown the techniques used to create and edit complex publications using industry standard software applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe in Design.

  • Web Designing:

The aim of this program is to give the students the skills and knowledge to design, build, and manage websites. Students will be shown the techniques and skill used to create and edit HTML rich media websites using industry standard software applications such as Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash.
